Finding Hope Through Community

Bonfire is a community built on shared values: inclusivity, curiosity, open dialogue, authenticity, collaboration, joy, justice, and a deep belief in democracy and local impact. It is a welcoming, safe space for women — and those who identify as — to gather, connect, and feel less alone in the world.

There are currently 22 Bonfire chapters across the United States, and Broomfield Bonfire is proud to be leading the way in both membership and meaningful, community  engagement. Our chapter is rooted in the belief that strong communities begin locally — through relationships, shared experiences, and showing up for one another.

Bonfire was founded by Shannon Watts, an American activist and the founder of Moms Demand Action, whose work has helped mobilize women across the country around civic engagement, justice, and community leadership. Bonfire carries forward that spirit — not as a political organization, but as a gathering place for thoughtful, values-driven connection.

At its heart, Bonfire exists because there is something powerful — even transformative — about being in a room with women who care. Women who are curious, compassionate, engaged, and willing to listen. The energy created in those spaces feels like alchemy — a reminder of our collective strength and shared humanity. Our hope is that every woman who joins Bonfire feels that same spark of joy, confidence, and belonging.

The goal of Bonfire is simple and intentional: to connect women in real life, in real communities. Whether you’re seeking personal growth, creative inspiration, meaningful conversation, civic engagement, or simply a place to laugh and be yourself, there is room for you here.

Our gatherings may include conversations with writers, artists, activists, and local leaders — or they may be as simple as spending time together: in nature, at a museum, cheering at a game, attending a city council meeting, volunteering, or sitting around a backyard fire. Every experience is grounded in connection, respect, and the belief that community is built one relationship at a time.

If you’re looking for a place rooted in support, inclusion, curiosity, and joy — a place to feel seen, heard, and connected — we invite you to join Broomfield Bonfire.
